Birth Center Facility Fee

$1,000

deposit of $500 due upon reservation, remainder due at 36 weeks

Global Midwifery Package

$4,500-5,500

this fee is paid directly to your midwife of choice and varies by practice

The birth center is an independent facility and the fee covers use of this facility, only. Your prenatal care and birth attendance are provided by the licensed midwife you choose.

Midwifery fees are paid directly to your midwife and are separate from the birth center facility fee.

Most midwives who attend births at Midtown Birth Center charge between $4,500 and $5,500 for their global maternity care package. This typically includes prenatal care, labor and birth attendance, postpartum care, and routine newborn care, although exact services vary by provider.

Each midwife maintains their own fee schedule, payment plans, and financial policies.

all basic birth + postpartum supplies / “the birth kit”

Insurance + Payment

We accept HSA funds, cash, check, Venmo, and credit cards as forms of payment. We also work with clients who plan to use their insurance benefits for reimbursement.

We are not in-network with any insurance company and do not bill insurance directly. Payment for your midwifery care is made to your midwife, with the full delivery fee due by 36 weeks of pregnancy.

After your birth, we will provide you with a superbill containing the appropriate services and billing codes. You can submit this directly to your insurance company for possible out-of-network reimbursement. Because insurance claims for maternity care are generally submitted after delivery, any reimbursement from your insurance company is paid directly to you.

Coverage and reimbursement vary significantly by insurance plan, so we encourage you to contact your insurer ahead of time to ask about your out-of-network maternity and midwifery benefits. We cannot guarantee that your insurance company will reimburse any particular amount.

A note about SoonerCare: Unfortunately, SoonerCare does not currently provide coverage for planned out-of-hospital birth services.
